Last month saw the end of an era for two great shows. We lost both Dexter and Breaking Bad. What will I do without Walter White and Dexter Morgan entertaining me every week? Whenever I am faced with such loss I take comfort in the things they left behind. Of course by that I mean the toys.
Dexter spawned 8 seasons and lots of great collectibles. With a whole line up of bobbleheads and figures every desk can have Miami’s favorite forensic expert. But by far my favorite collectible from the show is the Dexter Tin Tote. This is an awesome lunch box that looks like the famed ac unit that Dexter hides his blood slides in. Which is fitting since this set comes with a blood slide box and 3 blood slides with a 3 3/4″ figure. Now that’s something that will get me through those long Dexterless nights.
Breaking Bad also has some great toy options. Although there aren’t as many options with this line as with Dexter the demand is off the charts. Figures, bobbleheads, and plushes have been flying off the shelves, especially for those going through the Breaking Bad detox. I myself enjoy the Walt as Heisenburg figure the most. With lots of accessories this figure makes you want to relive the last 5 seasons of the best show on television.
So what will I watch now? There are lots of great options with the new Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. show and the second season of Arrow. But, will their collectibles be just as great? Time will tell. What television collectibles do you want to see made?
